1929, Twin Rivers, Wisconsin, Boat Regatta, Parade, Streets

This video consists of 8mm film footage shot at Twin Rivers Wisconsin in 1929. Here in 2024 that’s 95 years ago. It begins with a Regatta on the river where boats with names like G.H. Heller, Amity, Margaret, Badger Twin Rivers parade in front of the crowds attending the event. It appears that the day is not done as we are introduced to some of the watchers, then we are treated with a patriotic parade that included floats belonging to the American Legion, oh then Uncle Sam struts his stuff and then more floats, Waverly, Boehringer Oil and Fuel Co, PLU-KEL Canned Foods, Schroeder Bros, Elliott Plumbing, See Messel’s Piano’s and Radio advertising man, Wisconsin News Depot, Beduhn & Goetz Furniture Co and A.M. Krause MFG. CO. AT the end of this film are family members watching a little boy play with his 1920s Gendron Packard peddle car.
