Transport in the North, 1925

Made by the Ontario government to show life in northern Ontario, this film features the use of dog sleds as a method of travel and transportation. The presentation of dog sleds and the recurring images of the teams in action would have been a novelty for many city audiences. Film shots include teams of husky dogs pulling a sled loaded with logs, and shots of men on sleds.
