“Daisy Chain Fields is an annual music festival inspired by the groundbreaking Lilith Fair founded by Sarah MacLachlan. She was actually the first person I called when I started thinking about doing this. At the time of Lilith Fair, women were told that they couldn’t lead a festival, that no one would come, that they couldn’t get sponsors, and those women proved everyone wrong. Thanks to those trailblazers, we’re obviously in a very different situation now. And today, so many of the top artists who are headlining festivals and selling out arenas are women, and I’m so lucky to call many of them my friends. When I had the idea for this festival, I called each of them, and I was so overwhelmed by their enthusiasm for the idea. Bikini Kill, Chapell Roan, Devon Again, Die Spitz, Doechi, Eli, Garbage, Mitski, Not for Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinnariri, Santa Gold, The Breeders, Stevie Nicks, Karen O, and Sarah MacLachlan. Incredible line up. Um, these women are already doing incredible things, and many of them are on major tours of their own, and they all agreed to come together for one day with 100% of net proceeds going to nonprofit organizations dedicated to advocating for and supporting women and girls.”

It served as a reminder of how individual parts can come together to create something strong and unbreakable. It’s easy to be discouraged by all of the sadness and regression of women’s rights in our world today, but it’s artists like the one playing tomorrow and activists like the one sitting next to me today that give me so much hope. And I hope Daisy Chain can be a celebration of the love and determination that these women are putting into making this world a better place.”

She’s leading a Saturday music festival in Southern California featuring an all-female lineup including Chappell Roan.
Rodrigo’s lineup featured herself, Chappell Roan, Garbage, Doechii, Bikini Kill, Santigold, Mitski, the Breeders as well as rising voices like Die Spitz, Eli, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri and Not For Radio, with special guests Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan.
