A short excerpt from our two-part video on Jose de San Martin: “Libertador”, which looks at the revolutionary war of independence in Post Napoleonic colonial Latin America. San Martin was born in modern Argentina, then part of a large region called the “United Provinces”, which at first pushed for greater autonomy for its people, but with the installation of hard line autocratic government back in Spain, a revolution broke out that spread all across the continent of South America.
