For several decades a public school in Durham has had an unusual extra-curricular activity on offer, thanks to a donation from one of its old boys. The Dun Dubh Cattle Society looks after a herd of Highland cows which graze close to the school, with boys of all ages getting up early to attend to the cows and help care for them.

Nationwide’s Luke Casey meets the cows and their young carers, to find out what kind of benefits these magnificent animals bring to the school.
